Major help needed

Hello all Ive got a massive problem on, Ive just fucked my front mount intercooler up its pretty damaged. My girlfriend lives a good 20-30 mins away & out in the stickes so public transport is out the question.

She is going through a really tough time & I need to be able to go see her whenever she needs me. Only problem is my intercooler, I know it might seem like a silly question but I need all the help & answers I can get.

What would happen if I was to drive my ep82 without an intercooler? I nursed it home from hers just now & it seemed ok so what would happen if I was to nurse it to & from hers?

i know somebody who drove 70 miles without his intercooler. Didnt seem to do any damage but i wouldnt like to say mate.

If I were you I would butcher some sort of repair up either;

Remove your FMIC and fit a straight pipe on but dont drive on boost.

Duck tape to the extreme the damaged part and around it and then still drive off boost.

What will happen if you drive your car with the intercooler leaking badly is your turbo will be trying its very hardest to create boost which will cause it to overspeed and ruin the bearings inside leading to you needing a new turbo. Even if you take it really easy when you come to a hill your turbo will still be trying to spool.
