For sale:

Black Mazda Rx7 Fd3s Type R Twinturbo.

Item Condition:

Only bad point to the car is it has got a slight scuff on the front bumper

Price and price conditions:

Looking for £6100

However i am looking to going back to a starlet/glanza so if anyone wants to px let me know.

Im looking for a starlet thats about £2800 with some bits done to it ideally.

Extra Info:

The car was imported about a month before i brought it in Feb 2008. It’s a late 1993 RX7 Type R2

I brought the car at 66,830km when i converted it to miles. The engine was rebuilt at 70,365 and the car now reads 83,549.

I was told it had been rebuilt just before it was imported and I was provided with good compression test results. However the engine let go just 3 months after I brought it. So while I saved up for the rebuild it was taken off the road for a year.

I had the engine rebuilt and street ported in July/August 2009 by re:worx and also spent a lot of money on some modifications (I have the receipts for all work carried out by re:worx).

After a good run in I had the car mapped at Re:worx where it made 310hp at the wheels on Normal Unleaded (I also have print out for this), this is about 370bhp.

Specs list is as follows

Apexi PFC - mapped by re:worx
Apexi AVCR -running 0.9bar
Sard 850cc injectors (all round)
Sard FPR
Walbro Fuel Pump + rewired
Re:worx Street Port
HKS Downpipe
Decat Midpipe
Racing beat dual tip exhaust
Re:worx V-mount kit (PWR Intercooler and Rad)
Twin air filters (dont know make)
HKS Twin Power
Standard twin Turbos running in sequential
Air Pump removed
Act extreme clutch
shortshifter
Koni adjustable shocks and standard springs
It also has the Type RZ BBS Alloys
Laserline thatcham cat 2 imobiliser

Im sure there are some other things that I have done but can’t remember at the moment.

All of the mod's have been done with eventually going to a single turbo, all the car would need is the single turbo conversion and a new map.

It has 7 months MOT and 6months tax

They are an outstanding car, i would love to keep it but with times being like they are its just to much for me to keep running it.

There are quiet a few examples out there that are cheaper and state they have had rebuild's but from my experiance only go for one that has got recipets from a well know rx tuner, other wise it will cost a lot to put right. I brought the car standard for 5500 with the impressions and confidence the engine had been rebuilt but 3 months after owning it it went. It cost me another 4.5k to do the engine a year later (as well as the 3k i spent on parts).

There is nothing quite like the power delivery of the rotary and twins. Most peoples impressions when i take them out is... 1st turbo spools up "bugger me this is quick" 2nd turbo kick's in silence lol.

the majority of the scratches would come out with a dam good polish but there are some that have actully scratched the plastic underneath. It could really do with a sand and a spray, however you only really notice it when you are actully looking for it.

Aaar right i see buddy, nothing a bit of wet sanding and a polish shouldn't sort out, but like you say if its not that noticeable....
But will people use it as a bargaining tool then?? way up how much it would cost(not alot) and how much somebody will over exaggerate the price to have it done them selves.... just thinking off you bud as ive had an rx7 and they are a great car.....best of look jeffers.

Your are probably right people will use it as a bargaining tool however i'm pretty realistic in what price i will get for it, im not expecting full asking but its a place to start :)

Cheers mr2, they are a great car i just need to pay off some loans and could do with something a little cheaper to run

Fair play mate, and best of luck..at least your not getting rid because you know something is wrong, you have genuine reasons for sale, not many rx's are sold like this unfortunately, hence giving them a bad name... as people get them them and kill them with in a month or two.

Ah man I would absolutely love this car, saw it on PistonHeads the other day. But I was merely window shopping as I can't afford to buy it! Looks really nice lad and good luck with the sale.

This is so true, as mentioned before i made the mistake of buying the car thinking it had already had the engine done etc. If and when i buy another one in the future i shall only buy one that has recipets from a well know garage (even tho you do pay more for it)

I would love to keep the car it is awsome in every single way, but with the prospect of marriage and kids then i need to free up money each month. taking out loans to repair her has taken its toll over the last couple of years.

ill be very very sad to see her go :(

not sure how i managed to post the above twice lol

Anyway im lowering the price to £5900 ono to genreate a bit more interest.

I will also meet anyone over in the majority of the south, if anyone wants to px. Think some people are put off by the fact you have to cross water to see a car.
