mk1 starlet turbo gone

hi have just been offered a starlet gt mk1 but guy is saying that turbo seals have gone when i go and look at just wondering what to look out for he want to swap for my rover 220 gsi turbo and give me money on top.

so is it worth doing the seals or getting a complete turbo (used)

All depends on the price i guess. You can get second hand units for around £100 or hybrid for about £300??

But check for smoke as above.

yeah but i think its standard so can i put a hybrid turbo on it or not going to look at it thursday or friday i can tell u more once i seen the car but just keeping my opions open before i look

Someone else will be better qualified to tell you about what if anything would need doing to run a Hybrid.
