just checked the insurance... its only 600 quid a year. Not as bad as I was expecting.

Nice,im going to look at one tomorow and it'll cost me about 2k on insurance or so,but i still have to talk to a friend who works their and see what she can do
Im getting it off this cars new owner- http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/1156594

Apparently staggered wheels and a decent set-up suspension wise and they're a good handling car.
Im planning on backing the wheels down to 16's staggered on the back,Rev3 rear lights, front lip similar to this Mad PSI Lip , exhaust,decat,CT20b from Rev3,Uprated IC and a map.
And i still havent got it,fingers crossed

The black one for 2,400 is gone, and it was MINT,i was trying to get my hands on it aswell

This is what made up my mind

thanks so much man I really appreciate it.

That looks like exactly what I am looking for, a good honest looking car. Id expect a 1994 car to have a few dings etc. So long as shes running alright mechanically.

Lovin the sexy Glanza in the background :)

So if I wanted to spin down and check this out for myself would he be open to that? I will be back in two weeks and would certainly like to go look at it if he still has it.

Ill fire you over a mail, if you can reply with your phone number Ill give you a shout in the next couple of weeks and see if he still has it. If it is still there and driving alright I will most probably take it, need something to spin around in while I am home :)

Love it,the stance it has makes it look mean as hell and they're grand and comfortable to drive and just potter around until you put your happy foot down then it turns into a not so potter around car:D
Add that to me getting 200kms (mainly pottering around but some hard driving) on €15 isnt bad at all eh

it looks lovely!
What sort of power is yours running and how would it compare to say an ep on a ct9 at 1 bar? Just trying to get an idea of what the pull is like in them with pretty stock power.

You will love it buddy, its a total unique experience as i can imagine you have never drove a car like the mr2 before?? rear wheel drive and mid engined makes for some good driving  just take your time to get used to her :p ive got a rev3 with a greddy td05 on it as well as greddy intercooler etc.. and that makes for some fun driving especially in the wet :haha: i did put some pics of mine on the thread you put up this week for the banner have a quick look matey

MR2....

M(id engined)
R(ear wheel drive)

Well mine is basically bone stock and theres a boost leak somewhere as it isnt hitting full boost (lad that owned it plumbed in vac lines all wrong) and it'd still be as quick as a ct9 @1bar

Just so you know what mr2 stands for!!

Have driven lots of rwd machines before and have done a few laps in a ferrari m575 (is that mid engined) and a lambo. They were obviously very powerful and I was warned about the ferrari being a handful because it was wet out. I found it like anything else... if you have no jerky reactions and getting the power down at the right time it was fine to drive but if you drove silly it could punish you.

I like the idea of the MR2 being a different kind of car... something I would have to get used to and learn to drive it well.

Saw the pics in that thread... your is lovely!

Thats encouraging :) I would like one that is pretty stock but hoped they would be fairly nippy in stock form.

Thanks for the nice comments dude really appreciated.
you have hit the nail on the head mate to be fair its mostly down to throttle control, and not being a ****
as the mr2 sometimes has the tendency to bite on the limit, but lets face it you should be no where near the limit of an mr2 on public roads lol

and as for reliability, there toyota dude!!but ive had mine a good 3 and half years and touch wood (pc desk) never had a problem with her,and it has had some abuse lol
but i service her regular and only use the best products available hth.
