When I posted before about my love of vintage Hifi some one asked about Quad Electrostatic speakers. Well, I have just bought a pair. These are from the late 1950's and contain NO speakers drivers at all. They are incredible! Voted the best bit of audio equipment from the 20th century and sound unlike any other type of speaker. You have to be a bit careful with them though, the bass panels run at 6000 volts
Not to everyones taste looks wise but trust me the sound would blow you away!
Being test run with one of my Bang and Olufsen amps at the moment. You can unplug the speakers from the mains and they carry on working for about an hour because theres so much electrical charge in them!!
