needing a ecu to finish my build

hi

ive been looking at ecus for a over a month now and i cant decide what one i want lol. Am after a standalone but its finding someone to map it thats good in my area, and that makes me think well maybe am just aswell getting a piggyback. i only get 95 octane in my area and i allways found my old starlets and bikes to run shit on this without management, so i run race fuel in my bikes for weekend fun, but its abit expensive for the car too.

anyone got any suggestions?

thanks
matthew

what sort of feature do you get with them chris (antilag, flatshift, launch control, can they hold a few maps etc) i think i would have to travel a fair bit to get someone decent to map it too.

well this has made my choice even harder now. have you fitted one of these to a starlet chris? are they a bitch to wire in or is it no harder than any other standalones? some of these modern ecu's are crazy you would need a fricking wizard to wire them lol

Where can we get pricing for the Link G4 Storm and the DisplayLink?

How is it compared to the EMS Stinger in terms of reliability, features and pricing?

Here is the stinger: http://www.enginemanagement.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=107

I looked at the EMS ecus a while back, at the time they had no knock control so although they looked good for the price I elected not to deal with them because of this.

I'd agree with Chris, the Link G4 ecus are very good all round standalone ecus. I'm looking at selling plug n play looms for the link on both EP82 and EP91 fairly soon, just waiting to hear back from a supplier regarding the stock ecu connectors :)
