oil filter relocation kit

Im about to fit my relocation kit. firstly, is the instructions say wrap some teflon tape around the male fitting on the hose. is this essential (i dont have any tape)? also, where would be good to relocate the filter to? the hoses are about 30"

relocate it to out the front bumper just above your intercooler at the grill.this is the best for performance as the cold air gets to it.i have mine here.also the teflon tape isnt essential but assures you there will be no leaks.i have some on mine.this is just plumbers tape so if you know any plumbers you dont need much of it

PTFE Thread Tape is just as good. It'll help seal the threads and prevent oil seeping out of them.

As for filter locations, anywhere that's easily in reach, about the same height and where the pipes won't foul anything (Belts, wheel etc). Just to the side of the off side (left as you look at the car) foglight is probably about the best location. Even with an FMIC, there should be sufficient room behind the bumper grills.
