Oil Mist

Hello Everyone

Right i have got a tmd race spec rocker cover and i have have both ports going to a catch can with a filter on top of it but for some reason i seam to be getting like a oil mist coming out the filter and going on the engine bay

anyone have any idea what this could be

Try disconnecting the catch can and filter and give them a clean and check the hoses and report back dude

Is there something inside the catch can for damping? Like steel wool?

No there is nothing inside it mate should there be than ????

Usually they have steel wool inside.
When last did you drain the catch can?
What is the design like and your plumbing?
Any pictures?
You could be looking at worn piston rings

I have heard a test where you put a piece of white paper taped to the underside of the bonnet over the air filter hole , with the filter removed rev up the engine the oil spray you get on the paper will indicate the degree of piston rings wear as Skalabala said.

Skalabala I drained it about 3weeks ago as there was so water in there I will get a pic and post it up

I have now cleaned it out and put steel wool in there and pow now more oil mist all over the engine bay
