Buy a 1/8npt fitting and have it welded into your sump.
Thats where mine is.
Most folk use a sandwich plate as its easier

Either T-Piece into the stock pressure switch or there is a bolt on the oil filter housing that can be removed and the sensor fitted in there mate. There's a pic floating around by WeeJohn somewhere ;)

found it adam, cheers, what I do for now, as not running oil cooler on road, as want to test something with my cooler, is to use a sandwich plate, then by a 1/8npt adaptor.
Murray is your adaptor the sump nut? or in another location??

The stock oil pressure point is not a good place for the temp probe as you want a flow of oil, which there isn't really at that point.

that wil be only 1 or 2 centigrade of difrence nothing to worry about

Nothing about a difference in temp, but the temp sensor needs to be submerged in oil for a reading so the stock point is useless.
Either in the sump, sandwich plate or in the oil filter housing as mentioned above
