This has nothing to do with this thread, but waht happened to the guy that was building one of these. All i can remember is some photos of a sirrea being taken apart and a blue shell what he had laid out in the garden. Cant remember a username

@ Dave yeah it does scrape, doesn't matter means I can make a real exhibition when I'm driving it on the street people literally pull me over to ask about it, great around London turns more heads than any Ferrari and I'm not joking!

Ah right see what you mean, yeah ours is a little OTT then for that not a daily driver unless you want to get rid of your teeth and be deafened!

I think you would be hard pressed to get a running one for under £1500.00, non rusty shells go for 1k at least on ebay madness isn't it, worse than the AE86 it's just as they have such a cult status :(

@ Aidan - Yeah it is really, due to the YEN rates the total import cost now stands at near £8,000 and I have spent £1700.00 on it alone already after I snapped the woodruff key and the timing went, thank god for non impact Toyota engines! Also fixed the inlet manifold and had the carbs fully tuned and balanced, it's now an absolute drift machine the best car I have ever had as far as smiles per miles go!

I've looked on ebay mate nothing there, maybe piston heads?

How about a nice RWD Toyota Corolla Estate 1.3 as a run around, it drifts well in the wet but if you want ideally you need to weld the diff up I haven't had a chance. I've got some good videos of me drifting it but can't get them to work with sound, it's slow drifting (well what do you expect with 50bhp) but ideal for practice, also green lanes well!:
