petrol door problems!!

normally when i pull up the lever to open the pertol door it doesnt work and today when it opened the spring catcher on the inside of it snapped off and i cant open it at all now!! i have a long drive in the morning and wanna know anyway of opening it!! must i force it open ya??

screw driver works fine!! did it a min ago to check!! so looks like i will be doing that for a while!! lol.. also 2 days ago someone kicked and dented my door!!
