is it just me that is finding it hard to sell their glaza / starlet??
when i bought mine, i had about 3 other people in competition to buy it. i know its an auto but its still pretty minted. now im selling not even a year later, only a couple thousand miles extra, still under 45k! and ive had to repeatedly drop the price to a stage now where im getting pretty worried!

Just wondered if other people are having similar problems?

andy!

Me too. Personally I think it's the time of the year and the economic climate isn't great either.

I have one of the best examples I know of for sale with a full hybrid setup, I've owned it for 8 years and so far I've not had a bite. Thankfully I'm not in any major hurry so I can afford to wait for somebody to come along who knows what to look for in a GT and they will snap my arm off. It's just unfortunate that the Evo needs a new clutch now.

I had the same problem, although I put it down to it having faults, so I'm fixing them before trying to sell her again.

hmm.. well in a way its good to know im not the only one having troubles!
as for faults yes!
when i first put it up, my glanza was so mint, in the last two months ive had some1 hit my door leaving a dent and white scuff, which doesnt exactly go my way, ive already dropped price to 2.1k!
i cant go any lower jeeeeeeeeez! lol...

in my situation my glanza is totally factory standard except wheels n sum basic engine goodies...

Do you think id get more interest if i maybe sorted some suspension, and uprated the exhaust etc? then sell it for more?
i cant P/X it ill get pennies :(

Personally I don't think it would make much of a difference, it just seems to be a very slow market at the minute, filled with cheap shit and little quality. For somebody new to the scene I can see the attraction of a cheap GT but those in the know are aware that you get what you pay for.

To be honest i would sell it how it is without changing anything on it. I'm sure someone would love an almost standard Starlet as its a good base to stick there own mods on and have it how they want it.

The market is probably a bit slow at the minute. Auto boxes tend to put a lot of people off as well. I can remember a guy on here selling a silver Glanza a while back, it was immaculate and had some nice goodies on it. It must have gone for a silly price coz it was down to around 2500 last time i looked. Can't remember who's it was but the thread is probably still about somewhere.

I agree with rb69 you will never get back the money you would spend on suspension / exhaust.

Only change if it is affecting the chance of a sale (i.e. it's fooked)

its annoying to be honest i've not had mine for long and took the interior out of it etc and then got tempted by other cars so put it up and back to standard pretty much, but now it is i love it and want to keep it so im gonna. Also i cant see me selling for the money i want.

I also have some lad ring me and say he'd take my rays straight off if he had it cos they look shit, so i said well if you had it you could. I wouldnt sell it too him though i care for it too much for that, who knows what he'd do
