Radiators Questions

Hi has any one ever used a triple core radiator as an upgrade as opposed to a double. I've had a double and it seemingly worked on unless i took it to the track for a couple laps. it would then start to overheat.

And can a standard radiator work with those autobhan 88 styled exhaust manifolds with a bigger turbo?

Zep racing make a triple core radiator for the ep82,ep91 i think it's a bit thicker than standard so might cause some clearance issues with a bigger turbo, if someone could verify that. personally on my next set up im going to use a civic dual core koyo radiator with a hi flow fan,low temp thermostat and i think it should be more than capable on track.

Might be worth/easy to add a slim electric fan in addition with the stock fan. Will work well with a shroud, monitor your water temps on track, when they start to increase, activate the second fan. Also a lower temp thermostat + race/track coolant or water wetter in the system will also help maintain consistant water temps.
