Rear Shocks EP91

Hello all!

i recently replaced my rear OEM shocks and front struts with the Sachs brand I got overseas from Tuning development UK.

I noticed that the rear shocks didn’t tighten down enough with the nylon nut they provided. I grabbed some fender washers and used it on the right side. The left side that top piece snapped off so I need to grind it off on top to get my crescent wrench on there to hold it while I back off the nylon nut so I can add the other fender washers.
Does anyone torques the bottom bolts for the struts and shocks? Looks like 2,300 kg/cm equates to around 166 ft/lb. That seems like a lot for those two bolts on the struts.

I had to swing on a breaker bar then impact gun mine off if that help Bud lol
There is a torque list on here somewhere from memory, a torque bar is very handy to have :)

I wasn’t taking them off. It was after they were installed that I noticed the nylon nut would not tighten all the way up against the top flat washer. So the driver side rear is done with two added fender washers. But the passenger rear broke on top. Vise clamps aren’t working and I tried to grind down the threads to make a space for the crescent wrench to grab hold but that also broke again. So not sure if I can heat up the nylon nut and then zap it off with my impact wrench. Or just cut a notch in the fender washer and slam into place between the original flat washer and the nylon nut. I’d prefer to fix it so I can remove it easier next time. But I need my car for the second delivery job after my full time job. Thanks!

I’d like to find someone with the original springs all around. I’m a little tired of the TeinS that came on it. With the snow coming I need the clearance and the studded tires.

Any pictures Buddy ?
Sorry about the late response. No photos. I got most of it done. Took a few hours but its drivable. Thank you. If I could find a way to hold the piston so it doesn't move and won't be scratched for next time I take them off I would go that route. Instead of applying force to the nylon nut with the stock washer and the fender washers to remove the nut. Now onto my blower motor that's destroyed. I saw a post with a possible match to a new one still available in the country.
