Hey everybody.

Quick question is, i need to take the cams out before i remove the head bolts and head, Now...

How do i set the cams to neutral timing? So i no when the new head goes on i can just put the new cams in and the timing should be okay?

Ive been told that there is a dimple on both scissor gears on the end of the cams? So far i can only find one dimple? Anybody else had any experience on how to do it?

Thanks alot,

Phil

Before installing the camshafts, I would advise setting the crankshaft at approx 45° before the TDC marker. This will drop the pistons down in No.1 and No.4 cylinders and ensure there is no unwanted piston to valve contact when the camshafts are rotated without the timing belt installed. Once your confident that the timing marks on the inside of the cam gears are aligned, you can then rotate the crankshaft clockwise to line up it's TDC marker before installing the timing belt.
