I love these dogs. Check the vids of them on Youtube.. But yeah good luck in actually owning one.. You may need to go "UNDERGROUND" to purchase one, even then itll prob get took off you...

I was refused a license for one. I woudnt go "underground" for one as it will be bred for fighting and will get you into deep shit.

a dog is what you make it. I had a monster of a rottie and he was the most gentle animal. Then you see them portrayed by the media as savage killers.
I do agree though that if an owner was to raise a dog in the wrong way I would rather it be something that would break the skin and draw blood then something that would grab hold and crush bone... you dont get second chances with big dogs so if you are going to own one you better raise it right.

Only the owners make them savage. Why dont you do your research before spouting shite. American Pit Bulls are a very loyal affectionate breed and one of the oldest breeds in America. Any dog can be turned vicious! How many American Pit Bulls do you think are in America? Only a minority of them have been bred for fighting and thats the ones you hear about. Jack russels and those little nippy dogs are far more aggressive than the majority of APBT or American staffies. Lest ban them!
I understand your way of thinking it's how it's brought up that matters...to an extent i agree. But a pit bull is not, never has been designed to be a pet. There are very few properly socialised pit bulls out there to be able to breed the aggression out of them. I know many people with bull X lurchers which are decent calm dogs but the bull part of them is very small.
There are good and bad of many species of dog, i know of 10 stone rotties who behave like the softest dog out there but the next one you meet could be phsyco! I have a working terrier, 1 minute i can make him kill anything small enough to get his jaws around ( fox and smaller) the next he is as soft as you like, lil lap dog. By contrast i've seen labs that'll savage you as soon as you go in the door, nothing a swift boot in the ribs won't sort mind you. A pit bull will clamp on and thats it till you kill the fucker as they do not let go till either it or whatever is in their jaws is dead!

A Poodle is a working dog so that shouldnt be pet then? A jack russel was bred to kill rabbits and other rodents, Ban them?
I have no objection to "Pit Bulls" being banned but an American Pit Bull is a member of the American Kennel club and a highly respected breed not some cross breed that some pikey tool has tried to "create" to fight.

I do know what i'm on about mate.
If you think a minority of PITBULLs ( clue is in the name there) are bred for fighting then.........well you may need to research a bit more.
Russels can be nasty lil fuckers i agree....i have one! But he is a well trained and obiedient working terrier that will kill anything from a fox down to a mouse.
