Regs on cats and M.O.T's.....

Hi guys,

I've just had my MOT done on my car, but the MOT guy who did my car mentioned that my car was border line for needing a cat (i've got a de-cat).

I always thought for import cars you were ok till 1995?

Does anyone know the regulations as to this?

Just dont know whether to get rid of my cat or not!

I agree, i know that from 1992 on UK registered cars a cat is required, but thought that it wasn't untill 1995 that it applied for cars imported into the UK?

My first car was a 92 and didn't come with cats, and didn't have to have emissions testing... but when the 93 models were introduced, it had two cats
