removing bov??

ok guys i want to remove my bov because its locked itself open and it dont hold any atmosphere but leaks it all out. i know its easy to remove it but the problem it that my recirculating bov has broke too. will it be safe just to block the pipe wich joins onto the bov and block the vacume pipe?

will be fine for a bit mate. just make sure you dont block the breather pipe from the cam cover

Whack an oil breather on, or buy a catch can. Asad is doing autobahn ones for £34.99, mad cheap!

ive got an oil catch can attached to the breather so thats sorterd. i was just worriee bout the vacume hose being left open because it makes the car revv like mad. what is the vacume pipe used for anyway?

it provides positive pressure on the bov to hold it shut when boosting and the negative for when it needs to dump the pressure!

not at all. the pressure is only used on the bov. will make no difference if its blocked. its hard to explain why, someone else might be able to explain it
