Replacing Ball Joints

Hey guys and gals,

Should be recieving some new ball joints at some point today as mine are knackered, and i was just wondering how easy they are to change as ive never done any before.

They seem like they're pretty straight forward enough, any hints or tips from anyone?

Made a start on it, just wanted to know the best way of accessing the nut on top of the ball joint, ive managed to crack the 2 nuts and 1 bolt on the bottom of the joint, but the top ones starting to round off using a spanner! Any advice people?

get some decent spanners ive never had that problem. and just becarefull that you dont slip on the nut or its going to be VERY hard to get that nut off.

Having no luck at all, Bolts getting rounder by the minute! Mite have to split it or grind/saw it off!

Theres always something, its never just plain sailing!

Its my last day to get my free MoT retest, so im against the clock!

get the hacksaw out and get cutting the thread off lol.

Whip the shaft out the Hub, its the only way thats any use.
That way you will get a socket on there.
