mine came with a rx7 intercooler when i bought it - this is how it looks. i "think" it just fits on, but cannot be sure as i havent really checked
fits on the back bit ok, but a the front factory section is not secured

51-45 mm 90 deg elbow for the front pipe that's all you need
yeah stock ones work fine, even better if ya get a cusco turbo hot pipe

Sold mine for the Hdi
Work really well if you can get a water spray on them!
if it doesnt work as well as i expect i will get an WEPR

BTW, studied thermodynamics, black core is more efficient!
The pipe on there, was driven from the rear wash wipe, simply feeding this, instead of the wiper.
The pipe just had several pin holes in it, down one side, so it lightely sprayed the cooler.
Remember, if you do attempt this, you're not aiming to cool it by drenching it, you're cooling it via windchill, so it gets colder when the water evaporates. Much more effective.
Sooo, the less water the better
