Just wondering about the small matter of body flex...
Im building an ep71 starlet and was wondering if i was running around 200bhp
if i would have to seam weld the engine bay or not to reduce the body flexing and providing the handling of a boat!!.. i will be using custom strut braces and hope fully coilovers...

Also is it possible to use the spring+shocks out of an ep82/ep91 in an ep71??
finding parts is proving to be quite a challenge!!....

yeah coilovers from ep82/91 can fit the ep71

i dont think u need to do any welding in the engine bay for that power...just good mounts and suspension

I say seam weld the hole chassis, then you are on the safe side.
Have you thought about a rollcage to reinforce the car and to keep you safe??

it all depends what you are using the car for. If its a daily driver then dont bother wasting your time. If you are entering it in races then get a cage, and in saying that get it seam welded.
