Setting up boost controller

Hey friends. After rebuilding the engine I'm ready to pump up the boost level. It's the first time in 20 years that I'm using a manual boost controller rather than Greddy. I installed it properly but get absolutely no change in boost. Do I need to plug off the boost sensor or what did I miss? The car runs best at 2.5bar fuel pressure at the moment but I'm aiming to run 1 to 1.2 bar. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you

See a hugely common mistake is that manufacturers dont pass the knowledge on about which side does what, Try reversing the controller. keep in mind if you have it jacked up and i am right, you may destroy your engine. so make sure the boost controller is set correctly.

How exactly do I "destroy the engine"? It's not like I'm running 2 bar and can't see it. I can see the boost and feel it. It's still at tock boost unless I change the actuator by hand and even then it doesn't work well. It's connected correctly. Anyone here using a manual controller?

You want to take that and throw it as far as you can away and repeat at least 10 times, utter shite those types of controllers, not even a controller lol just a bleed valve
Electronic is best, fact.
To much boost can easy destroy your engine, easy to do with 1 of them valves.
What other mods etc are you running ?

Forged pistons and bigger turbo and injectors. With the Greddy controller, do I still need to unplug any boost sensor or no? I got one in my Z32 Twin turbo. I wont run too much boost. That's what the gauges are for.

as often they are labeled wrong, so people mess with them thinking its not doing anything, they then flip it, try to boost the car and end up blowing everything to smithereens as it was on the wrong way.

Get a GFB Geforce 3 electronic boost controller. you wont regret it.
