I know its easy enough to check but does any one know off the bat if the shift position switch pin 13 on the 16 pin plug below is connect to the clutch plunger switch ?

That pinout above looks to be for an auto, although I'm not sure if a manual would be different?

Generally you'd only have a clutch pedal position switch when the car is equipped with cruise control.

I found it mentioned here http://www.celicatech.com/imagearchive/bgbonline/93tech/CLUTCH.PDF for a 93 celica but can't see any part on toyodiy.. The diagram above is from the site here. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dub.se7en/TGTT/ecus_4E-FTE.pdf

the pdf above shows the AT and MT both have a shift position switch....

I'm going by the pinout's not the title.

If the ECU pinouts for a 4EFTE EP91 manual and auto are the same, then that would suggest to me that the auto transmission related pinouts will be non-applicable when looking at a EP91 with a manual transmission.

i.e.

26 pin plug pins: 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 21
16 pin plug pins: 1, 5, 13

would not be used with a manual transmission.

I could be wrong as I haven't got a wiring diagram or an EP91 to look at.

It's possible some manual transmission models destined for other markets such as the US would have a clutch start switch mounted on the clutch pedal. It's operation would be similar to that of an auto where you need to have the select lever in either park or neutral before the starter motor will operate, with a clutch start switch you would need to have the clutch pedal down before the starter could operate.

other 4e-fe diagrams don't show any thing on pin 13.

That diagram tells me:

X = 12 pin connector
Pins in use = 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12

Y = 26 pin connector
Pins in use = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26

Z = 16 pin connector
Pins in use = 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15

It appears to be a diagram for a 4EFTE with a manual transmission, although does show a reference between the linear (auto) and switched (manual) TPS and also shows pin 2 of the 26pin connector (Engine cranking signal) takes an ignition feed (linked to pin 15 26pin connector) with a manual transmission, but the same feed is switched by the neutral start switch on the auto transmission.

My guess is that the shift position switch signal on pin 13 of the 16 pin connector would relate to the auto shift selector, indicating something like the D position.

What is it you are looking to find out? Why do you need a clutch pedal switch signal?

I came to the same conclusion staring at this diagram hoping for another 13 to appear..

Friday the 13th and all, I should have another look.
I've put a few of this wiring diagram in my garage, plus a few others.
