smoking on idle

Ok guyz i aint know where to start so i will just through it out there. Recently i had cracked pistons and i replace them with good stock pistons along with new piston rings and stuff. I recently changed oil, and spark plugs and stuff and what i realise recently is that the car still smokes a bit on idle and easy driving. The smoke is abit blue. The car idles fine and boost fine no stutter or anything. What can i possibly check to start diagnosing this problem? Any and all suggestions will be gladly welcomed guyz.

do a compression test to determine your individual cylinder pressures....also consider what hoodey said (more than likely the problem)

check your downpipe is bolted on, i had this once and it turned out to be my downpipe being only held on by x2 bolts.

I pulled out all the new iridium plugs i put on saturday and what i realise is that one of the plug has like oil around it, so it seems most likely that the valve seals either gone or something thats why i smoking so and the turbo was not spitting any oil cause i checked. Is it hard to change the valve seals or do i absolutely need to bring it to a mechanic to change?

changing valve stem seals is MOST annoying and tedious

the process itself is fairly easy......but it take a bit of time to do them all..if u dont know what u are doing or cant work with some1 who does....best left for the mechanic......as u would need to buy and overhead valve stem seal tool

Also check to see if your Oil Return line is clogged or restricted. I had a MAJOR smoking problem recently (Worse then smoke caused by worn/blown oil seals) and it was due to a restriction in my oil return line. Made a new line and no more smoking :) I also went ahead and change my PCV valve also.
