Basically i am after buying omp bucket seats from a lad who bought them knew for a twin cam but never fitted them as he sold it before they arrived.

These ones

I have a 96 glanza v and i want to fit them to it. The rails are supposed to be toyota. How will i fit them? also theres nowhere for the buckle to go on the side of the bucket seats so im assuming the old rails will have to be used but i dont think they fit.

Can anyone help me out? Pics would help alot

there isnt a toyota fitment, every model is different, you will either have to buy a set of recaro ep91 rails, and maybe mod them to suit, or adapt the rails thans on them to suit, ie cut the feet of the ep91 seats and weld them on, and weld on a bracket for seat belt.

thanks and fuck.,ha. can i not use/modify the rails and stuff from the glanza seats rather than buying new ones and welding the buckle to a bracket.. id rather do it as i dont want to spend a whole load of money plus i dont like the idea of welding the buckle to a bracket in comparison to having it kept on the glanza seat rails

should i just sell em and buy ones already set up off this site or what

anyone else been in this situation or have any solutions/suggestions/pics

thanks

you can but the rails arent level on the standard seats so it'll take more work, but can be done, most people are lucky enough to have a rail of some sort on the new seat so they jus cut the feet of the standard rails and weld them on, it is the easiest way.

ok.can u advise me on any newer rails that are commonly used...i think the most difficult thing about this is that the omp seat rails are spaced to close together to meet the holes in the floor so even if the feet are welded on they will need to be widened some how (like spaced farther apart so the feet can be bolted into the usual place).

i have it booked into a garage for monday morning so ill either be sad or happy when i listen to what they have to say!
thanks anyway man

handiest would be to weld a subframe to them runners, to bars going across and make feet to suit. i have jus bought evo 4 recaros with evo rails so i have this to look forwards to, only got it done to my cobra side winders last month!!lol
