Something aint right

Hey guys go me a bit of a problem here.If i have my car for a while and it gets to operating temperature and i turn it off,when i restart the engine i sometime idle real shitty and my afr on my wideband reads 17 and sometime flat out .when i drive about a bit it den idles fine .So tonite i pulled out my laptop while it was idling shitty and as i connected it to the emanage it just got back rich and started idling fine again.I dont have the stock 02 sensor hooked up and i am using a later version 5efhe intake that doesn't have and idle control valve on it.Can anyone help?

Why haven't you got the O2 sensor connected? That's quite necessary for smooth efficient running on a standard ECU.
