I took mine to wheelrefurbishing.com...they took far too long but apparently it was cause my one wheel was so far bent out of shape (not too much, but being split wheels, it's hard). I'd recommend them as they did a good job...apart from the fact they powdercoated the seating area of the lugnuts which then proceeded to make my wheels want to part with the car whilst driving

They're located near Watford, in Hertfordshire somewhere. Alternatively there's Wicked Wheels in Guildford, Toby recommended me to them. They did my wheels for...I think it was £45 each?? And replaced all the bolts as well...they even delivered the wheels back to my door as they took so long, so they're good service at least

yup indeed - sorry only saw your edit after I finished posting. Try out Wheelrefurbishing.com - slow, but they do a good job, if I could show you the wheels in person I would

Nice fun roads around there - amusing single track lanes lined with mud with plenty "Oh shizzle I'm gonna die! I want my mummy :(" moments

Split rims cost more as they simply take a long time to disassemble, some rims can have over 50 bolts, times by four and you have 200 bolts to remove and fit and there not like conventional bolts you need to be very careful as to no scratch the paint..

i was told that is not the reason. the reason most places dont touch split rims is that when they do them up they have to do them up so tight that the metal flexes very slightly, and after the wheels have been put back on the car and used for a couple of weeks the paint finish goes crap.

there are only a few companys that have the technology to get round this, apparently.

i see your point though toby, i'm just not gonna pay £120+vat each wheel to get them done lol.

you have a pm by the way toby.
