Hello guys!

I am interesting to change ct9 to bigger turbo so, searching in different topic's i found where some turbo's spools..
I ended up to TD05 but i afraid to much lag.I dont have problem to spool around 4000rpm!

1)TD05-16 -> boost around 5500 rpm
2)GREDDY TD05-16 -> 1 bar at 4000 rpm
3)GREDDY TD05-14b -> 1.6 bar at 3800 rpm
4)TD05 by TM Development -> full boost 4000 rpm
5)TD05H -> full boost 4900 rpm
6)TD04 -> full boost 3800 rpm
7)HYBRID TD04 -> ????
8)VF22 ->full boost 5000 rpm
9)VF23 ->full boost 4500 rpm
10)VF34 -> ?????

Is that information correct that i found??
Forgive me for my English!

The first question that arises is,
What do you want to do with your car?
Drag?
Fast road use?
Or both in metered doses? :p
Track?
Then you will be able to decide which set up to go for.
Hope this helps.

I am thinking something about drag and fast road use..
My tagret is 300hp but i dont want to spool 5000 rpm, but 4000 rpm i believe is good...
Searching this forum i found from the other guys that use or believe where each turbo spools!

I think some of those are definitely wrong, I cant see a td05 spooling at 3.8k on a 4e no matter what trim it is?

SOme people struggle to get a standard TD04 off a wrx to spool by 3.8k though.

I will obviously stand corrected if that td05 does spool that fast..!

yeah, and alot of people post on here without defining whether they mean the turbo has started making a few psi or if its when its hitting full boost, which in itself leaves a grey area when your trying to collect information.

This list highlights the mis information or lack of information. for example, a td05h, comes on both scooby and mitsi is also the same as a td05 16g, alot of the turbos with different snipets of info are one and the same turbo, and dear only knows what spec they were run with.

aidanG is def getting heaps of boost on a td04l before 4k.

Yeah they never say if its full boost and if its full boost whats that 1 bar 1.5 lol.. it also depends on other mods you've got to spool quicker? correct me if im wrong

Well i was meaning full boost, sorry should of put that.

Ive been in a td04'ed starlet before that was hitting 1 bar around 3.8k iirc, so seeing that first post saying that a td05 was hitting
1.6 bar at 3800 rpm
It seems like bollocks?!

that greddy td05 14b isnt that much laggier than a td04l frmo what i remember, and when a turbo starts to spool it makes it max boost pretty quick, for example your mates boost probably only hit 1barish cause the second it makes 1bar all the extra boost was let out the wastegate, if he was running more boost, it would have been in there straight on the heels of the 1bar!

my hybrid turbo doesnt make 0.8bar any faster than it can make 1.2/3 bar just depends what you set the target boost for on the EBC.
