Hi there,

The plastic panel in the boot are sealed with metal clips, these are probily very old and its worn caristeristics then gonna sqeeze!
Replace these with some new ones and the sqeakin over. ;)

Mine squeaks, I believe theres not much that can be done, D2's don't help the scene.

Think I will just take the plastic trim off and see if that helps. I remeber when I last owned a gtt (10 years back lol) I had the squeaky boot thing and I tried everything and could not get the noise to go away..

Two things:

One, rear strut brace, this actually cured my early EP82 of its hatch squeeks.

Two, Blutac. Take two sizeable lumps, stick to the jam area and close hatch. Go for drive. Enjoy silence.

i found mine was due to the catch being a bit worn. put a few turns of insulation tape on the part attached at the bottom and it holds it a bit tighter now and doesnt squeak at all ;)
