squeaky gear stick / box?

Just noticed an annying squeak when changing gear, not really at speed but just slipping it into first to get going.

Can't really see where it can be coming from inside the car but something needs oiling, any ideas what?

you sure its from inside? normally its the slave cylinder or fork on the gearbox that squeks.. its something normal i think. tell a friend to press the clutch for you and see if its coming from there

Well, that used to when I pressed the clutch down but that noise has stopped now and this one popped up. It's just one of those annoying little noises that drive you mad after a bit.

Is there anything on the clutch pedal mechanism that could be squeaking from inside the car?

mine squeeks changing gear second to third and third to fourth and all the way back. im thinking dry fork?
