strange noise... help quick!!!

i was going along in second gear last night and i got this horrible noise coming from i think the front drivers side wheel......

kinda sounded like a flat wheel at first, den i thought the arch lining was rubbing off wheel.....

now i kinda think my diff bearings have gone again!!

but ive a knockin noise in my steering now when i rock steering wheel, but no play in any of wheels

im not too sure what it is..

can any1 help quick????

rubbing..... / light grinding noise

more so rubbing noise mate

wheel bearing?it would knock when turning if it was a cv joint and if it is from the wheel it will probs be a wheel bearing or maybe a brakepad sticking though i dont think thats likely judging from your definition

sounds like the drive shaft or the cv joint is on its way out check ur rubbers on end of shaft see if there have burst might not be any oil in shaft

brake caliper binding maybe. jack that side up, spin the wheel see if its binding. then move it sideways checking for play in joints ect:freddy:
