hi folks
im running at 13psi on a td04l using an external wastegate, tuning with an safc-II it was working PERFECTLY, i was on boost all the time
ok now, lately, the car started to (what i think is..) fuel cut at around 11-12psi (i have a digital meter for pressure)
when it reaches around 3800rpm or so, when boost should kick on and wastegate open, the car starts to kick and sound like rprprrrprprprprprrprprp and wont accelerate anymore... this is very annoying to me and im out of ideas
i am waiting for a walbro 255 fuel pump as im using the stock tercel fuel pump and running 440cc injectors... i thought maybe the pump is getting tired or simething.... i have checked the wastegate it looks very clean, diaphgram is not punctured and there is no leak at the connector
i have changed the hose the the MAP sensor and the one to the wastegate with no effect
now i have tried plugging an hks FCD (FST-19253) but the device is not letting the original voltage through.... any clues about this? it will adjust from about 3.5v up to 5.11 but i will never see the MAP sensor voltage
i read 2.6volts engine turned off at the MAP signal to the ecu, i take that wire and plug it in the FCD white one, i measure the voltage at the yellow wire from the FCD and it reads 3.5v (setting at 1 or something like that)
i have tried with no success to read 2.6v at the FCD output wire.... i thought it was a simple clamp letting all voltage through except will keep output at 5volts (lets stay) if it would be 6volts normally (for example)
is it possible i dont have the right FCD for an ep82???
any help would be greatly appreciated... i miss my car ;[[[
