td04l or vf22

right lads I finally finished td04 ing my glanza and when I was getting her remapped she made 221bhp but on overrun the turbo is smoking badly. the question is im going to change the turbo to get rid on the smoking and I can get my hands on a vf22 turbo cheap or should I just get another td04l

will this turbo be ok on standard internals at 1 bar and what will full boost be on the 4e or will it be to big and laggy?

thats the biggest of the vf's you may not like the boost threshold

are you sure its the turbo that is causing the smoke?

i was about to ask the same thing, whether you have verified that it's the turbine smoking..

well lads I went an bought another td04l turbo today then started to strip the old turbo off and guess what, my turbo is bone dry so my turbo is fine. after seeing the turbo was ok I removed the manifold to find three valve stem seals leaking

is it a hard job replacing the valve stem seals? do I have to remove the head or can it be done with the head on?
