TD05 with CT12a housing? Help?

I got 4efte in my AE101 Corolla and my tuner's working on it.

A bit of background of the problem, I wanted to keep the same spooling characteristics of a CT9 or at least close to it.

So my tuner is planning up TD05h with CT12a exhaust housing.

The question is, is that even possible? Will it not effect the overall spooling and building boost characteristics of the TD05 turbo?

Pros and cons will really help here.

Thanks.

Pretty damn sure it wouldn't work.
If it could you would need the turbine wheel and housing from the ct12, and if it does line up to the td05 comp side, the td05 comp wheel probably won't fit the shaft.

The turbo would be so unbalanced, you would have very little power because the ct12 back housing would probably actually increase back pressure which you don't want.

No point in having a large compressor if the exhaust housing can't flow enough air to make use of it. The Tongs TD12 is probably the closest you'll get which AFAIK is a TD04h CHRA using a CT12 exhaust housing and a TF035 compressor housing.

Exactly what I told the guy but he just wouldn't listen to me. Lol

Running stock internals and I'll maximum go to 0.8 bar boost with the supporting fuel management, etc. It's a daily driver, no races / drags or anything of the sort. I'm just looking for an early spool somewhat like a CT9.

Since, it's a Corolla (heavier than the Starlet) and 17" wheels - If I opt for GT28 or TD05, I'll be getting an insane amount of lag?

GT28 spools around 3500RPM and TD05 around 4000RPM.

What would you suggest will be a better option?

Turbo availability around here is a pain. I can get GT28, TD04, TD05, GT25, CT12B, CT20, CT26 and that's about it. Lol

So I found out that its compressor and exhaust housing are of CT12B - A3 and Turbines and Shaft are of a TD05 Hybrid. Like WTF? :-/

There will not be enough space for the tdo5h wheel in the CT12 housing
TD05h wheel is 56mm+- so it is huge.
You will need to use the complete CT12 and mod the TD05h compressor side to it.
Should work nice if you boost no more than 0.8bar any higher then you will break it.
Turbo also wont last long at all, compressor surge will kill it.
TD04 13G is a way better option. Or a TD04 9B with a compressor wheel upgrade will be awesome!
