The funny thing is, I have never noticed a drop in performance with this turbo, ever.

And it's as fast as a 300bhp 200SX.

If it is broken, it was broken before I bought it, and before Chris Storey did.

:O

That reminds me of the comment you made about the 1,000 cc motorbike and a car that was as quick.I seriously doubt it.

I don't think it did imo. think this a recent well err mod if you want to call it that. c'mon look at the state of it.

It's been like this since I bought the car. This hasn't happened recently whatsoever.

It'll make a belting ashtray :)

Technical aptitude?

I've been working on cars and engines for ten years, mate.

I'm a trained & qualified engineer, mechanic and fabricator.

Then why do you know nothing about cars? Your constantly asking about this and that which is fine, but then to tell everyone you are fully trained at everything is just a joke!

You even said on your other posts that you ask your dad about stuff!

Lets not turn this into a slagging match please.

Sigma I would take the advise mentioned on the thread, regardless of how your turbo is performing.

- Replace the turbo
- Inspect the full intake
- Inspect the cylinder head and pistons

Good luck.

to be fair to sigma ive seen the car go and although it was more modified then mine at 1st it was allways somewhat slower to pickup HOWEVER it was a treat, it was smooth to drive no noise but just seemed a little slower then it should of been

this pretty much explains it though so sigma get a diff bine on it and get it back on road and it should feel like a diff car

i agree, im sorry but looking at that picture i fail to see any aerodynamic properties whatsoever, its now just a bit of shredded metal. period.

i doubt it'd work as a bloody hairdryer in that state

The only thing I shall say, is that I need a compressor wheel!

i think u should get a compressor wheel (a "proper" replacement for what is there) and get the turbo sorted (seals checked and balanced)

get the turbo checked thoroughly... once all is well.....boost away

i was the previous owner of this car. that turbo has never been meshed always ran a filter(while i owned it). it never made any funny noises etc was a very nippy motor.it held 0.8 bar all day long with hks actuator. i spent a fair bit on it just maintaining it as it was my baby.

that turbo has taken a right beating and would not have lasted the 9 months i owned it never mind the 18 months sigma has.

so i think something has happened recently sigma mate something has def got into that turbo and i would be checking your fmic for bits as thats been worn down you can see the grooves lines in the fins.

hope you sort it mate storey
