Thinking o New Turbo Upgrade

Hey All,

Been thinking over the last couple of days about the turbo upgrade to get me my goal. And i think i have found it i met up with guy that can do custom fabrication once off and will fabricate me a downpipe 4mm stainless steel equal length manifold too.

The turbo i am seriously thinking of getting is the IHI VF38 these turbos by all accounts and from reading in other forums reach FULL BOOST at 2300 rpm which is imense spooling for a turbo that is basically a little bigger than a K24 but produces up to 350 whp.

Wat do you all thinkl after all i want to try a turbo setup that has not been used before and be different this setup really sounds awesome for the 4e.

go for it mate if full boost at 2300 thats basically a ct9 with 4x the power lol

Even with a ballbearing unit I cant see a turbo capable of 350whp spooling to full boost by 2300rpm on a 1300cc engine.

Its difficult to say, bu the guy thats would be doing the Manifold is going to be using the same conversion on his Suzuki Swift Turbo currently 325 bhp atf and it is FAST. So if he is going to upgrade to VF38 maybe il wait untill he has done it then i will see the results then go ahead with mine.

I'm no expert but I'd say thats rubbish. Maybe they meant start spooling at 2300 rpm

yea would seem more realistic.. and tbh easily drivable too spool at 2300 is good

not to burst ur bubble.. but thats on a 2 ltr

id say ud get full boost by 4~4.5k..

That turbo is smaller than a td04l if i remember correctly, i looked into using one a while ago.
