timing rattle

Good evening all, brought a engine last week from a member and on tick over sounded sweet when we dropped it in. Took it for its first drive and the engine has a slight intermitant rattle :( I don't think its a bottom end rattle as had 2 engines with bottom end gone. Parked her to and noticed the dizzy cap was in a totally different place to every other starlet I have seen. Can the timing give a rattle on the 4efte if not correct.

what do you mean by dizzy cap in a totally diffrrent place?
i dont belive the 4e suffers form rattle, that tends to be with variable valve systems

Most I have seen the dizzy tends to sit in the centre. I mean by this when you look at the front bolt that holds dizzy it is in the middle of adjustment. This one was all the way at bottom of adjustment
