well with the situation with my engine, its one of the following,

forged rebuild,
or new car

only car that springs to mind is either the toyota iq, or a celica t sport. any one?

IQ is really good actually. Ive was sent down on the "tech " courses for the launch. What you need to get into your head is its a quality car, with quality parts. People think because its so small that its just a city run about, like the cheap and shit Aygo's...WRONG. Honestly, when your driving it,it gives you the impression your driving something way bigger, like yaris/corolla size (obviously without you looking behind you lol) Also, the turning circle is LOL,you could do a full circle inside your garage nearly :p. Its just down to space though, there is no boot and you can just squeeze someone in the back with 2 front passengers.Reliability wise, theres no major issues with them yet,Warrenty gets it all anyway.

Celica Tsports are also really good, nice to drive. The exhaust heatsheilds are shit,as are the brakes for corroding and binding on  It would be my choice out the 2.

I went in to the Toyota showroom the other week. The iQ is a bit of a dishwasher lol but I was really surprised at the quality of the thing! Top notch small car that :)

As for the choice, I'd go for the Celica ;)

I took the IQ out for a spin from my local toyota, its good crack, like you said the turning circle is hilarious.

Blitz also have a bolt on turbo kit for it, bringing the 1 litre engine up to 100bhp lol.

Also supposed to be super safe, tested against lorries, it bounces off their windscreens.

sorry for spamming this but do any of you not find the newer toyotas from say 2000 onwards a bit tame, boring and unfun? iv driven the celica, mrs, avensis, corolla, aygo and yaris and found them ultra boring to drive. much prefer the toyota from the 90's ie supra, mr2 and of course starlet :)

Have driven the corrola t sport and found it far from boring, one of the only modern cars I like, that's after driving new type r's cupra's and vw gti's, LOL

There's something about those IQ's that I like, wouldn't mind a go in one with a Blitz turbo on it!
Was saying to someone last night, I think Toyota have gone down the safe and economical route in the last few years. I think because they are one of the biggest car manufacturers around they feel like they have to set an example and don't need to make mad turbo powered cars anymore.

yes they are all boring thats why i fitted the 4efte in the aygo , and who said aygo are shit he is a bit right altough not totally as for bodyshape i prefer it to the new squareish IQ

as for no major issues with the IQ you should check properly as there were a lot of issues with the gearbox (but that might be with all toyota gearboxes )

Aygo's over here are pish :p Water leaks from fucking everywhere, then theres the exhausts snapping in half,or the water pumps leaking, the clutch springs snapping, the collets falling out and causing it to drop a valve and eat the piston :p:p The front discs being that pish they lip within 10 miles and start squealing on the back plate :(

Nexia you'll have it sorted though. Shit hot weather and a diffrent engine and box
