absolutley shell shocked.Dave was a brilliant man who helped me no end and always made time to chat and show me bits when i popped in on the way past his workshop.a truely kind and honest man who gave a lot more than he took.thoughts are with the family i hope your ok josh mate
I have not been on here for a number of years, in truth the only reason I am here now is because my old GT is for sale.
What a shock to see the front page, Dave helped me so much when I first got my GT and helped me spec my engine. This is such a shame and my thoughts are with his family at this time!!
I haven't visited the site for a couple of months, I spoke with him a few times in the past and ironically the last time I was here I talked to Dave and bought a panhard rod from him. He seemed like a true gent, friendly and always happy to help. A tragic loss, you will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Dave
Wow !!! I know its been a while but i just jumped on toyota gt turbo to check an old post of mine and just seen this.
Deepest condolences to Daves Family. I know where ever he is he will be looking down on the great praises and thanks given by the starlet community. As many have said this is a great loss and still hard to digest this.
I have known Dave for quite sometime (since close to 2000 i believe) on both a business level and a forum level and he has always been straight forward and easy to deal with.
RIP Dave.
RIP & God Bless, Dave Burwash... You Were A Great Trader With A Wealth Of Knowledge You Shared Freely To Help Out Everyone You Could, You Will Be Greatly Missed
Can't believe I'm reading this, I knew dave for many years whilst building my ep82 and also owned the 320bhp ep that he built for a good while. He helped me for many years import the parts I needed from Japan to make my car what it was. Massive sad loss for the community and my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
