Travellers - Are they hard done by?

sure there are lots of people not paying taxes etc but the proportion of pikeys not contributing ANYTHING but taking EVERYTHING is huge!

They destroy the places they settle in and then expect people to come and clean up after them etc - filth

@imavisitor normally i'd agree with the "don't tar everyone with the same brush argument", but i'm afraid that only works where the majority of the group in question is good. but its the reverse in this case, 99.9% of these people are total scum, a total drain on society, with absolutely nothing to offer in return only destruction of land and filth and rubbish left in there wake!! there are totally indescriminate in there choice of who the steal from, they wouldn't think twice about robbing from a pensioner, and i'm sure if they saw something of yours worth stealing they would have it gone before you knew what was going on. i work as a postman in ireland, i see settled travellers getting social welfare cheques, 2 and 3 or more going into each house, but still they've never worked a day in their lives and have 2008 vans cars and jeeps outside there houses. its a joke. my brother was laid off from work a couple of weeks back, went in to social welfare office about getting unemployment benefit which he is entitled to as a tax-payer and he was asked every question under the sun, and still hasn't received anything, but luckily he's back working again. and this scum can walk in and get everything. if they were wiped from the face of the earth, it'd be a help to society, not to mention the elimination of the stink:D

You can have it one way or the other.. not both..

Let’s not forget.. They contribute NOTHING to upkeep of this country in the way of taxes etc. Most of them ignore the very laws that we must abide by so stringently.. Most are illiterate or just very poorly educated as a consequence of the way of life they choose..

If I had it my way, they'd be given nothing whatsoever.. They give nothing so they get nothing.. But, I'm not in government so they won't have to worry about that..

Am I being too harsh to these 'misunderstood' people?

There are several types of "travellers" The IRISH PIKEY being the most common and funnily enough hated of the breed! They live in caravans, steal, poach, rape the countryside of anything of value and cause general mayhem wherever they go! Fuckin scummy bastards! Shoot the lot of em:shoot:

Then theres the romany who are proper travellers and are given a bad name by the scummy irish pikeys. The romany's are generally clean and tidy up after themselves when they move on :) I have no issuses with these guys BUT I FOOKIN HATE PIKEYS!!

There are alot near me hard bastards, but nothing but trouble and mainly alcoholics. I was told a story which tickled me by a work mate who was friends with 1 when he was younger. Back in the day before mobiles it was common issue to 'call' for people as we all probably did ourselves (knocking on the door to see if your coming out to play lol). What did his gypsy friend used to turn up on bearing in mind ther were about 12. A bike? scooter? no bare back on a horse treadding all over his mums garden and flowers! never right lol

My disdain for the 'irish pikie' is probably a little stronger as I'm exposed to them more than the Roma's.. but, at the risk of sounding like a bigit, I hate the Roma gypsies too..

Don't get me wrong,

I do agree and can't argue against peoples opinions, after all, we all are allowed an opinion, although even this is being erroded by the powers that be:teach:

Just feel strongly that these problems should be dealt with as a whole and not just against one element. The benefits system sucks in this country, wholeheartedly agree with what you say.

Its the fact they(all groups) get away with it that annoys me, not so much the people doing it, more the people allowing them to do it/get away with it. Having seen benefits forms where questions begin with, What is your National Insurance Number? and questions regarding how much tax have you paid? How do they get the benefits?

The negative association with the usual suspects will continue for years to come, unless somebody with some back bone has the guts to say enough is enough:holdit:

are you for real??!?! you obviously have not got a clue what you are talking about mate.

Ireland is plagued with those gold teeth wearing scum. They flooded the country and at one point had camps set up on roundabouts on our motorways. They are all over the streets in Dublin robbing shops and begging.. robbing people.. screaming rape when the police try get back peoples stolen goods from their multi layered robbing skirts.

The romany are HATED everywhere they go... in my opinion they are even worse than Irish pikeys.

At the end of the day, if they want to move about, steal from people and pay absolutely nothing into the system then I think they should be told to royally fuck off when they need anything like hospitals or schools. I would happily turn them away from A+E if they had an arm hanging off if I was in charge.

How can you expect to use the services everybody but you pays into?
