Turbo Bearing

on a mates car, there is an odd clicking/grinding noise coming from around the dizzy cap, he has replaced it and the rotar arm but still the same

his mechanic advises its the turbo bearing gone and he needs a new turbo???

what are the signs of a gone bearing on a ct9b ?

no smoke, car runs normally

EDIT: users advises he can only boost up 0.2bar

if turbo bearing is gone the turbo will sieze.
clicking or tapping sound might be a conrod bearing problem.

could be a cracked manifold, that makes odd noises (like mine!!) Get hime to whip off the heatshield (altho the bolts will want to shear off) and see if there is a crack, probably on runner number 3
