turbo lights not working?

well, the 3 green lights on the dash arent working properly.when i accelerate only 2 light up..the car is boosting in 1st n 2nd and is always on high..lo boost doesnt work..why isnt the 3rd light lighting up. by the way i dont have a boost gauge and i just got a used bailey dump valve for it.engine standard. the dump valve lets of a short psst..high pitch. where as the one before let off a woosh.would that have anything to do with it..

Does the third light come on in other gears? If so that's completely normal behaviour. Boost is limited in 1st and 2nd on a standard setup

try bypassing the low boost mate

if this doesnt work try disconnecting the hose from the solinoid and leave it off as could be the solinoid stuck in low boost!
