Some people use them as a slight upgrade to the ct9. You can't really run any more boost than a ct9, but it will flow a little better and give you some gain up the top.
It will all be minimal, but if you can get one cheap, it's worth a go.

not sure which ct12 you're referring to...however, if its a direct fit, then its worth a try,,, but if any notable modifications are required, then i'd suggest you consider a high flow ct9 instead
if you're going to be changing up the manifold, etc, then you can consider the tfo35---as you have several options if you want to upgrade later on (td04l, td05, vf series, aftermarket)
really depends on what you're looking for and your budget
