Right my starlet is still underboosting i have welded up the internal wastegate welded up any cracks in my manifold checked over all my vac pipes too see if they have any holes in and they dont i have now bought a new ebc !! before i got this ebc i was running on external wastegate spring pressure (1.2bar ) but only hitting just over .7 i have now fitted my ebc set it to 1.2 and im hitting .85 and thats it !! any one suggest what it could be before i buy any thing else ? external wastegate or turbo ? or anything else?

Blocked air filter, boost leak, exhaust leak, faulty wastegate, faulty turbo. That's the main things to check first.

If you pull the hose that connects to the wastegate from the turbo, does it overboost?

T your boost gauge off the hose between the turbo and wastegate, connect everything back up as normal and see what the gauge reads.

I'd be looking for a split boost pipe or possibly a hole in the intercooler core.

thats what ive got now mate my current set up is pipe from the turbo then a t going off to the solenoid (in) and the out venting to atmosphere and then another vac pipe off the t into the wastegate!

You need to set the EBC to use an external gate and connect the out port of the solenoid to the top port of the wastegate.

Where have you connected your boost gauge and EBC pressure sensor?

What settings are you using on the EBC?

boost controller etc was all connected when i got the car just it needed a new solenoid not too sure what a ebc pressure sensor is mate ?
ac/wg = wg
Boost =ch1
auto/manu= auto
set to 1.2
graph scale to 1.5
auto peak = on ]
unit = bar

Change auto/manu to manu

Set Gain to 15 and Set to 60 and then check the peak boost in 4th gear. Set is the percentage increase over the spring rating, as your wastegate spring was limiting boost at 0.7bar 60 should see you a peak boost of around 1.1bar. Gain is basically how often the EBC will update, a lower setting will give a more accurate boost control but will increase the time it takes for the turbo to reach full boost, a higher setting will bring the boost in sooner but will cause the turbo to boost spike if set too high. What you want to do is increase Set until your getting the 4th gear peak boost that you want and then increase Gain until the turbo over boosts, then knock the Gain setting back slightly so you reach your desired peak boost as quickly as possible without over boosting.

Also check the Warning menu, if Warning is ON then check the Boost setting is slightly above the peak boost you want to achieve.
