upgrading to windows 7

i got my laptop last year, around the time of the windows 7 release, and was told i could get it for free (well, plus the 29 quid postage) although never got round to it.

does anyone know if i can still get the free upgrade, or did i miss my chance?

Hiya Bud.

Normally the offer has unlimted time period.... normally just give them your model number and serial number, they will see that you havent had it and will send it.

if your running vista, i would deffo upgrade to 7.... it's so much quicker and less buggy!

where do i do that though? i have looked all over the windows website and can only find it at full price.

You'd usually do the upgrade through the retailer you bought the PC with, or they'd point you in the right direction. We had upgrade rights with a few PC's at Dell and they sent out the CD's & licence keys to us

i did the same with dell, but im sure it had a date you had to upgrade by?
