Purchased a forged engine of a seller and put it in..started the car and let it idle for 2 minuted, then turned it off and after 5minutes if poured out with coolant from the inlet manifold so took that off and what i could see different about this engines head is it had a hole drilled in it and had some type of sealant that had been used to try and block it.... ANY IDEASS?

Sorry for the bad pics..but if you look closley on the first pic you can see the hole compared to the old engine in the 2nd

AFAIK, there are two types of head, one with the coolant passages open, and one with them closed. You have to get the correct gasket for the cylinnder head.

This is corrwct, the older engines GT's etc have the coolant passage open and need a different gasket, than the later ep9* engines that dont have those coolant passages :)

Thanks for comfirming Jay.
Are you sure it was coming from the top end? The water pump pipe is below the manifold and there is a couple of gasket/O rings there.
