Vehicle speed signal query

I wired up the vehicle speed signal wire to display on my profec e-01 and it doesn't seem quite right. It seemed to be reading right albeit fluctuating a lot until it managed to register a peak speed of 501km/h on the dual carriageway and then 37'267km/h in town!:homer:

Going from the profec manual I thought the speed sinal is a pulse input however with this as the input none of the settings seem to give an accurate reading.

So is the speed signal a pulse input or is it actually a digital or analogue signal?

Its an analogue signal, going from 0 volts to about 10 volts at speed cut.
My AVC-R wanted a few other details to set the speed reading right, have another look at the set up.
I take it you are on the right wire at the ecu. Its on the bottom row of the small plug, 4th one from the left.
