Can anyone tell me what the max pressure is that this pump can push. my tuner says im not getting enough fuel through and suspects the pump. I think it was maxing out at 5.8bar max.

Im running Tongs GT hybrid trying for 1bar can anyone give me what fuel pressure they are running on simular set-up

Standard ECU
Sard RRFPR
FCD
WEPR Ext gated kit
Tongs GT hybrid

its puzzling me as i didnt think that much fuel was needed in first place. but its defo lean on there lambda.

HELP please.

5.8 bar, is that your fuel pressure? If so that is too much pressure, you will wear the pump out. If you have more pressure then the pump is capable of, it will drastically drop the amount of fuel it can push out. You probably need bigger injectors and some sort of management or there is something not right with your fuel system. It's also possible the setting on the fcd is leaning you out, where in the rpm and boost does the car run lean?..

4.8 or 5.8 cant remember and cant check atm. this was pressure when vac disconnected or fuel return clamped so should show max pump pressure?

Can the FPR be restrictive or are the injectors nearing max flow?

im thinking maybe pump is dying hense i would like to know max flow of pump.

Well 5.8 bar is 80 odd psi which is way too much pressure. No doubt that pressure will be working the pump too hard and actually lower it's flow rate and it will be not doing any good to the injectors in that the spray pattern maybe way off plus exceeding the capability of the injector itself.

You can try changing the pump out, but you really want to lower that fuel pressure, decrase the boost pressure, run it up and then see what happens to the mixture. If it still runs lean, inspect the whole fuel system; fuel pump pickup in hanger, fuel lines, fpr connections and vaccum source etc. I would first look at the fcd setting though.

hum what would a fecked fuel filter do. its about 1 year old and a Dave B special.

couldnt find much info from walbro maybe i need to look harder.

when my car comes back from body shop ill post up the FCD settings and give exact figures on pressure etc.

""The walbro 255 has a pressure relief valve that opens at 85 psi. You also have to keep in mind, as pressure increases, flow decreases. ""

found this on another forum anyone know if this is correct.
