Speedtech motorsport specialise in Mitsi based cars, primarily EVO's. Here's their latest customer project, a drag orientated Evo9 running north of 1000whp and (eventually) low 8 second 1/4miles. Of particular interest is the transparent attitude and fantastic documentation (and photography!)

They have previously held the record for 4wd turbo on several occasions, their previous car holding a best ET of 8.2 @ 180mph.

Latest update is an in depth look at the tuning process including screen shots of all the software behind the scenes. Exceptionally uncommon to find a car built to this extent being so candidly covered by the builder online!

Somebody needs to bankroll a starlet build to this extreme extent

Scary! That run was a easy high 8 sec et, he had to completely back off in first, then get back on it. Looks like a custom hybrid too with the tial turbine back housing and a garrett compressor housing. Looks like he is monitoring egt's from all cylinder's

200hp @ 6k and shoot's to 700hp @ 7.5k

Worth noting this hasn't given all its got to give. Due to an intermittant electrical issue the above dyno was only to 8k, in full race trim it will be revving out to 11k The shakedown pass was also at low boost (26psi) full noise is 42psi.

The tial exhaust housings are beautifully machined pieces!
