defo not standard got some jap markings try a standard ecu see if its any different id say it gets rid of fuel cut raises the rev to about 8000rpm and more agressive map ? i wouldnt have opened it up would have been worth something if you left the seals intact

not unless you do it with a hammer or a blowtorch
I saw somewhere UV light damages the motherboard or something?

on some of the aftermarket ecus it can do. just open it carefully if its not a standard one and then stick some tape over the little window of the chip, if it has one.
standard ecu is fine
